Drake announces the release date of his new album “Honestly, Nevermind”
Drake fans may want to cancel their plans for tonight.
The OVO boss took to Instagram on Thursday to announce the impending release of his seventh studio album, Honestly it doesn’t matter. Drake shared the news with the project’s official cover and confirmed that it would arrive Friday at midnight.
Honestly it doesn’t matter follows Drake’s 2021 album, Certified lover. The chart-topping project included appearances from Jay-Z, Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, and more. It also earned Drake a nod at the 2022 Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album, but he withdrew his nomination months before the ceremony. Despite a fall more than nine months ago, Certified lover still remains in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 chart.
Drake sparked new album rumors earlier this year, when he and producer Carnage started sharing photos from their studio sessions. The Toronto rapper did not reveal any additional information about Honestly it doesn’t matter, including its track titles or potential features. However, he is expected to share more details about the surprise effort during the first episode of his SiriusXM radio show. table for one. The program airs at 11 p.m. ET Thursday on Sound 42.
