Voice of Baceprot announces return to Thailand for headlining show in August

Indonesian metal trio Voice Of Baceprot have announced their return to Thailand for the first time since 2018 for a headlining concert in late August.
The group will perform at Montri Studio 6 in Bangkok on August 27. No supporting act has been announced for the show, which is due to start at 6:40 p.m. and is limited to 500 attendees.
Early bird ticket sales are already sold out. General admission tickets are still available at THB 1,500 each – buy your tickets here.
Voice of Baceprot has not announced any additional shows in the area at the time of writing.
The trio recently took a stand against the violation of women’s rights around the world with their single ‘(Not) Public Property’, which was released on March 8. ‘(Not) Public Property’ is the band’s first track that was written and recorded without the supervision of band mentor Abah Erza, their former teacher who encouraged the band’s formation.
The single is the third to be released by Voice of Baceprot following their debut single “School Revolution” in 2018, followed by “God, Allow Me (Please) To Play Music” in August 2021.
Talk to NME earlier this year about the opposition the band faced from some even in their own country, vocalist and guitarist Firdda ‘Marsya’ Kurnia said, “Slandering is easier than creating, c That’s why it’s no surprise to see many choose to sneer and scoff instead.
Describing that some voices had objected to their upcoming performance at Germany’s Wacken Open Air festival this weekend, Marsya said: “We were just a little saddened when we realized that even a work of art can be categorized according to sex.”
